Terms of Service

By accessing or using the rates.boxopher.com API ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You may not:

• Share, resell, or sublicense your API key.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
• Use the Service in any application that misrepresents the data's accuracy, timeliness, or source.
• Use the Service to build a competing API product that resells our data.

Data Accuracy

Mortgage rate data is updated nightly. We make no warranty that the data is complete, accurate, or current. The data is provided for informational and development purposes only and should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.

Subscription and Billing

• Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual recurring basis via Helcim.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Your current plan price is locked in at the rate you subscribed. In the extraordinary circumstance that a price change becomes unavoidable, we will provide at least 90 days' notice via multiple emails before any change takes effect.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page or by emailing support@boxopher.com.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access continues until then.
• Refunds are issued at our discretion for billing errors or service outages exceeding 24 consecutive hours.
• Annual plan refunds are prorated for unused complete months.

Service Availability (SLA)

We target 99% monthly uptime for API availability, excluding scheduled maintenance and events outside our reasonable control. We do not guarantee specific uptime and provide no financial remedy for downtime unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Intellectual Property

The rates.boxopher.com software, infrastructure, and brand are our property. Raw mortgage rate data sourced from third parties remains subject to the original sources' terms. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the API output for your own applications.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rates.boxopher.com is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the site at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
